At Uzabus, our top priority is first and foremost the health of our staff, our customers and their families. In line with advice and recommendations from the Ministry of Health (MOH) and NZTA, we have implemented the following steps to prevent the spread of the virus:
Helping with prevention
We have advised that anyone who demonstrates symptoms of the virus must not come to the depot or office and must call the MOH dedicated Healthline number to register and self-isolate for the recommended 14-day period
- We have implemented extra daily bus cleaning procedures including wiping down commonly touched surfaces by both passengers and drivers and disinfecting vehicle air-conditioning
- We will be displaying within buses and depots MOH and Regional Council supplied hygiene posters
- We have implemented additional daily cleaning at our Depots, as well as providing drivers and employees with additional hygiene products, PPE, support and advice
- Self-isolation enforcements have also been put in place for Uzabus employees who have recently travelled overseas
Maintaining current service levels
A pandemic is a time of uncertainty, but we are focused on delivering a reliable service to all our customers. Every measure within our control is being taken to ensure there is no impact on service levels. If this changes, we will update you as soon as possible.
We are monitoring the situation closely and will continue to be guided by information and directives from the Ministry of Health.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your local depot to discuss further on 0800 892287.
Kind Regards
Justin Allan
