We are pleased to announce that a new trial fare-pay bus service will be launching in Term 1, 2026, to support families in the Tangimoana and Rongotea areas.
This trial service has been specifically designed to assist students and caregivers impacted by the recent cancellation of Ministry of Education school bus services. Recognizing the challenge this poses for local families, Uzabus has been working closely with the affected community to develop a reliable transport alternative that ensures students can continue to get to school safely and efficiently.
Trial Service Details
The trial service will begin operating at the start of the 2026 school year. As this is a fare-pay service, it will operate independently of Ministry-funded routes, providing a dedicated solution for those who no longer have access to previous transport options. Your feedback during this trial period will be invaluable in helping us refine and improve the service.
